The Manual.
Everything a comrade needs to know. Read it once, host forever.
How do I claim a site?
Go to the dashboard, enter the name you want (3–63 letters, numbers, or hyphens), and hit claim. If it's free, it's yours at yourname.commie.host. You don't even need an email to start — but add one if you want to recover access later.
How do I put content on it?
Four ways, pick your favorite:
- Pick a template — Personal, Business, Landing, or Portfolio. Instant, then make it yours.
- Describe it to the AI builder — type what you want, the collective's machine writes a full single-file site and deploys it.
- Upload your own files — drop your index.html and any assets.
- Edit in place — tweak the raw HTML right in the dashboard.
Can I edit my site after publishing?
Yes, as often as you like. Your site is a folder of files. Upload new versions, apply a template, or edit index.html directly — every change is live the moment you save.
What are the limits?
The collective is generous, but not infinite:
- Storage: practically unlimited for normal sites. Don't use it as a file host for terabytes of video.
- AI builder: 10 builds per site per day, so the machine isn't overworked.
- Type: static sites only — HTML, CSS, JS, images. No server-side code (no PHP, no database). That keeps it free and fast.
Can I password-protect my site?
Yes. In the dashboard's "Restrict access" section, set a passphrase. Anyone who knows it can view the site; everyone else sees a gate page. Leave it blank to stay public.
Can I use my own domain?
Not yet, comrade. Today your site lives at yourname.commie.host. Custom domains are on the plan — write to us and we'll tell you when it ships.
What's the rules / abuse policy?
The collective welcomes everyone — except those who harm others. No phishing, no illegal content, no impersonating brands or people, no malware. If we find abuse we'll take the site down. See something? Report it and the Ministry will investigate.
